Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2026-27: Online Application Deadline Extended to 16 October, 11:59 PM

The Selection Committee of the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Tamil Nadu, has extended the last date for online PG Degree and Diploma applications for the 2026-2027 academic year. Its notice, No. 1152/SCSII(1)/2026 dated 14 October 2026, says many candidates had asked for more time.

Applications can now be submitted online until 11:59 PM on 16 October 2026. Under the prospectus, the deadline had been 5 PM on 15 October 2026.

The notice does not say whether the extension covers only the Government quota or the Management quota application as well. Candidates who have not yet applied, or who have not finished their application, should do so on tnmedicalselection.net before the new deadline and check the website for further notices.

The notice changes only the closing date for online applications and gives no other dates, so the rest of the Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2026-27 process is as set out in the prospectus. Applicants should upload the documents the prospectus asks for and keep a copy of the submitted form.
