Goa has notified its 2026 rules for state-quota MD/MS admission at Goa Medical College: eligibility, merit groups, reservation, fees and bond; applications 12–16 Oct.

The Government of Goa has notified the Goa (Rules for admission to the Post-Graduate Degree Courses of the Goa University at the Goa Medical College) Rules, 2026. They replace the 2024 rules and govern admission to state-quota MD/MS seats at Goa Medical College, Bambolim. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is the state counselling authority, and rounds follow the MCC schedule. The rules were issued on 21 May 2026 and published in the Official Gazette on 29 May 2026.

Candidates need an MBBS degree and a completed one-year rotatory internship by the last date for applications, plus a NEET-PG 2026 rank. A single state merit list is drawn up from NEET-PG scores and operated in four groups. Group I (MBBS and full internship at GMC) is allotted first, then Groups II to IV. Reservation is SC 2%, ST 12%, OBC 27%, EWS 10% and PwD 5%. The application fee is Rs 3,000. Choices given for a round are final for that round, and registration cannot be withdrawn.

The rules also set out the fees, with tuition listed at Rs 64,324 per term plus a 5% yearly increase. They include a one-year government service bond, junior residency with stipend, and refund deductions on resignation.

DTE's advertisement says application forms are accepted from 12 to 16 October 2026, in person at DTE Porvorim or by email. Read the full rules on dte.goa.gov.in before applying.
