Gujarat PG Medical 2026: Rules for All Four State Counselling Rounds Explained

ACPPGMEC sets out who can join Rounds 1-4 (Round 4 = final stray vacancy), when re-registration is needed and when the security deposit is forfeited.

ACPPGMEC Gujarat has issued instructions, in Gujarati, for the four online state counselling rounds for MD/MS/Diploma 2026-27, which follow the MCC pattern. Registration needs a non-refundable PIN fee and a refundable security deposit, plus document verification at a help centre.

Round 1: after choice filling and locking, the result is declared. Allotted candidates pay the fee, submit originals at a help centre and collect the admission order. Candidates who were not allotted, who were allotted but did not report, or who reported can all move to Round 2 on their old registration (free exit, deposit not forfeited).

Round 2: Round 1 registrants need not register again; new candidates must register and verify documents. A candidate allotted in Round 2 who does not pay and submit originals forfeits the deposit and must register again with a new PIN and deposit for Round 3. An upgrade in Round 2 cancels any claim on the Round 1 seat.

Round 3 (formerly mop-up): a seat joined in this round cannot be given up, and the candidate cannot take part in any later AIQ or state round. Not joining an allotted seat means forfeiting the deposit and losing eligibility for later rounds.

Round 4 (final stray vacancy round): fresh registration is allowed. Candidates who hold a confirmed seat from earlier AIQ or state rounds are not eligible. Fresh choice filling follows online consent.
