Gujarat PG Medical 2026: Rules for All Four State Counselling Rounds, Including Deposit Forfeiture and Exit

ACPPGMEC Gujarat has issued the round-wise rules for its four MD/MS/Diploma counselling rounds — who must re-register, free exit, upgrades and when the security deposit is forfeited.

ACPPGMEC Gujarat has published instructions (in Gujarati) covering all four state counselling rounds for MD/MS/Diploma admissions in 2026-27. Rounds will follow the MCC/Government of India schedule.

Round 1: candidates register by paying a non-refundable PIN fee and a refundable security deposit, then get documents verified at a help centre, fill and lock choices, and, if allotted, pay the college tuition fee and deposit original certificates at the help centre to receive an admission order. All Round 1 candidates, allotted or not, may move to Round 2 on the same registration with a free exit and no deposit forfeiture.

Round 2: earlier registrants need not register again. A candidate allotted in Round 2 who does not confirm admission loses the security deposit and must register afresh with a new PIN fee and deposit to take part in Round 3. An upgrade in Round 2 cancels the claim on the Round 1 seat.

Round 3 (formerly the mop-up round): a candidate who joins a seat allotted here cannot take part in any later All India or state round, and the admission cannot be cancelled. Not joining forfeits the deposit and bars further rounds. Round 4 (final stray vacancy) allows fresh registration; candidates holding a seat confirmed in earlier rounds are not eligible.
