GMCH Chandigarh MD/MS 2026: Counselling on Hold; SC Candidates Can Register Till 27 October

Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh, has issued a notice dated 23 October 2026 on its MD/MS admissions for Session 2026 (UT Chandigarh state quota).

The remaining steps of the admission schedule announced in its earlier notice of 16 October 2026 have been kept in abeyance until further orders. No new dates for the later stages have been given yet.

Separately, acting on an interim order of the Punjab and Haryana High Court dated 22 October 2026 in an ongoing writ petition, the college has kept the online registration and application window open for Scheduled Caste (SC) category candidates until 27 October 2026. SC candidates must submit the online form along with the required certificates, documents and fee within this period.

SC category doctors who have not yet applied for GMCH Chandigarh MD/MS seats should complete their application before 27 October. All other applicants should wait for the revised schedule and check the official website, www.gmch.gov.in, regularly for updates.
