The Maharashtra State CET Cell has issued Notice No. 02 for NEET PG 2026 state-quota admissions, explaining who can apply under the NRI quota and how.

Only three groups are eligible: candidates who are themselves NRIs, candidates whose parents are NRIs, and wards of NRIs as defined under the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890. NRI status follows the Income Tax Act, 2025 and must be backed by a certificate from an Indian Mission or Post abroad. NRI candidates compete only for the 15% NRI-quota seats, on merit.

Applicants first register on the Foreign Candidate Registration (FCR) portal, fn.mahacet.org, and pay a non-refundable eligibility fee of USD 50. Eligible applicants receive a Provisional Eligibility Certificate online and then pay a one-time processing fee of USD 1,150; without both payments the application is not processed. The FCR application number is then used to log in to the CAP portal for preference filling and seat allotment.

Documents required: the Indian Mission/Post NRI certificate, passports and nationality certificates of the candidate and parent/guardian, a court guardianship order where applicable, six months of foreign bank account statements, and the FCR portal receipt.

NRI candidates must complete FCR registration before 22 October 2026. Check the official notice on the CET Cell website for full details.
