Odisha PG Medical 2026: Revised Valid-Document Guidelines — Resident Certificate Valid 5 Years

Revised Odisha guidelines (11 Oct) supersede the 10 Oct list: Permanent Resident Certificate valid 5 years and SEBC-NCL 3 years from issue.

The PG (Medical) Counselling Committee 2026-27 at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur has issued Revised Guidelines for valid documents (No. 35, dated 11 October 2026) for Odisha state quota PG Medical counselling. This revised version supersedes the guidelines issued on 10 October 2026.

The list of 14 documents is the same as before, but two validity rules are added. The Permanent Resident Certificate (online copy with QR code) will now be treated as valid for 5 years from its date of issue, citing a Government of Odisha resolution of 24 September 2018. For the SEBC-NCL certificate, the revised text adds that it will be valid for 3 years from the date of issue, citing a 2013 department letter. However, the same entry still says the certificate is strictly valid for 1 year and must be issued on or after 1 April of the admission year, so SEBC candidates should seek clarification from the convener if their certificate is older.

Other rules are unchanged: internship must be completed on or before 30 September 2026, caste and resident certificates must carry a QR code or barcode, EWS certificates are valid for 1 year from issue (issued on or after 1 April), PwD certificates must come from DGHS/MCC-notified boards, and allotted candidates must submit the original College Leaving Certificate and, except for private seats, the indemnity bond. Illegible or handwritten copies are not valid.

Grievances on documents go to convenerpgmedicalcounselling26@gmail.com.
