RIMS Imphal has released a revised seat matrix for MD/MS admission 2026: 83 seats in 24 subjects, split into Sponsored (61), RIMS Open (17) and Non-RIMS Open (5).
The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, has published a revised seat matrix for admission to MD/MS courses for the 2026 academic session. The matrix lists 83 seats across 24 subjects, divided into three groups: 61 Sponsored seats, 17 RIMS Open seats and 5 Non-RIMS Open seats, each with its category-wise reservation (UR, OBC, SC, EWS).
The largest intakes are Anaesthesiology (10), Medicine (8), Surgery (8) and Obstetrics & Gynaecology (7). Non-RIMS Open seats are available only in Anaesthesiology, Community Medicine, Medicine, Physiology and Surgery (one UR seat each). Several pre- and para-clinical subjects, and Psychiatry, Sports Medicine and Transfusion Medicine, have Sponsored seats only.
Candidates in the common state-level PG counselling for the north-eastern states should check the seat type and reservation that applies to them before choice filling. The full revised matrix is on rims.edu.in.
