The Directorate of Medical Education, Manipur, issued a notification on 3 November 2026 for Round 1 of the State-Level Medical PG Counselling 2026-27, continuing its notification of 2 November 2026. It publishes five annexures: the Round 1 seat matrix (Annexure A), documents required for registration (Annexure B), general instructions (Annexure C), technical instructions for registration on the portal (Annexure D) and the SOP for Round 1 (Annexure E). The Round 1 schedule in the 2 November notification runs from registration on 3 November to reporting by 16 November 2026.

JNIMS and SAHS state quota seats follow the Manipur Medical Postgraduate Seat Allotment Schemes, 2025: Direct category needs MBBS from an NMC-recognised college and permanent registration; JNIMS Institutional Preference is for JNIMS MBBS graduates; In-Service needs regular service under the Manipur Health & Family Welfare Department or JNIMS with a sponsorship certificate (temporary, contractual and ad hoc staff are not eligible). Documents for registration: recent passport-size photo, NMC/SMC provisional or permanent registration certificate, internship completion certificate (if applicable), sponsorship certificate for in-service candidates, caste certificate, PRC/domicile certificate and PwBD certificate (if applicable). Merit lists are prepared category-wise for each institute in order of NEET-PG 2026 All India Rank. Choices not locked by the deadline are auto-locked. After allotment, Freeze candidates (no upgradation) download the allotment letter and report physically with original documents; Float candidates (seeking upgradation in the next round) upload documents for online verification and download a Provisional Admission Letter from the portal. Seats can be resigned after Round 1 and Round 2 but not after Round 3, and a surrendered seat cannot be reclaimed. The Rs 20,000 security deposit is forfeited if a candidate allotted a seat in Round 2 or later does not join, or if the admission is cancelled after allotment.
