MP NEET PG 2026: Round 1 State Counselling Admissions Put on Hold After High Court Interim Order

DME Madhya Pradesh has withheld the ongoing Round 1 admission process of MP State NEET PG counselling with immediate effect, following an interim order of the High Court at Jabalpur.

The Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh, has issued a notice to all candidates who were allotted seats in the first round of the MP State combined NEET PG counselling 2026. The admission process that was under way for these candidates has been withheld with immediate effect.

The notice says the hold follows an interim order passed by the Hon'ble High Court at Jabalpur in writ petition W.P. 44909/2026 (Dr Sarvjeet Singh and another versus the State of Madhya Pradesh and another). The process will stay on hold until the High Court gives further directions or orders in that case. The notice does not give any new dates for admission or reporting.

Candidates who received a Round 1 seat in MP State counselling should not assume their earlier reporting or admission timelines still apply. Keep all original documents and the allotment letter ready, and watch the DME MP counselling portal (dme.mponline.gov.in) and the medical education website for the next notice, which is expected once the court issues further orders.

The official notice is available on the DME Madhya Pradesh counselling website.
