Maharashtra NEET PG 2026: Provisional MD/MS Seat Matrix for Private/Minority Colleges Released

Maharashtra CET Cell has released the provisional category-wise MD/MS seat matrix for private and minority colleges — 891 seats in total, 469 of them in the CAP state pool.

The Maharashtra State CET Cell has published the provisional category-wise seat matrix for MD/MS courses in private and minority medical colleges for the NEET PG 2026 CAP, dated 2 November 2026.

The summary sheet lists 891 degree seats across these colleges. Of these, 422 are institutional seats (299 management and 123 NRI) and 469 are available through the state CAP pool — 222 reserved-category seats, 47 SEBC and 200 open. The largest subjects are General Surgery (106), General Medicine (104), Orthopaedics (99), Anaesthesiology (81) and Obstetrics & Gynaecology (72). The PDF then gives a college-by-college breakup with category-wise seats for each subject.

The CET Cell notes that the seat position is provisional and can change based on information from institutes, MUHS Nashik, the regulator, court orders or the government, and that the Commissioner may revise it before seats are allotted in the CAP round.

Candidates registered for Maharashtra PG counselling should study this matrix, along with the government college matrix, before filling their option form, and keep checking the CET Cell website for any revised version.
