Maharashtra NEET PG 2026: Provisional MD/MS Seat Matrix for Government Colleges Released

Maharashtra CET Cell has released the provisional category-wise MD/MS seat matrix for government, corporation, central-government and government-aided colleges — 1,581 state seats.

The Maharashtra State CET Cell has published the provisional category-wise seat matrix for MD/MS degree courses in government, municipal corporation, central-government and government-aided medical colleges for the NEET PG 2026 CAP, dated 2 November 2026.

The summary sheet shows 1,581 state-quota degree seats. The biggest subjects are Anaesthesiology (171), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (146), General Medicine (138), General Surgery (138), Pathology (101) and Paediatrics (100). Seats in every category are further split into general and in-service seats, each with a PwD share, and a few seats are earmarked for orphan candidates. The rest of the PDF gives the same breakup college by college, starting with Grant Government Medical College, Mumbai.

The CET Cell states that this position is provisional and may change on inputs from institutes, MUHS Nashik, the regulator, court orders or the government, and that the Commissioner can revise it before CAP allotment.

Candidates in Maharashtra state counselling, especially in-service and PwD candidates, should check the seats available in their category before filling options, and watch the CET Cell site for a revised matrix.
