The Government of Karnataka's Medical Education Department has issued an order fixing the 2026-27 PG course fees at Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital, Chitradurga, under SJM University. The order covers MD/MS seats and, separately, MDS seats at the university's dental college.
For the medical PG courses, the fee table lists year-wise amounts (in lakh rupees) for the private quota and for management/NRI seats. Pre- and para-clinical subjects such as Anatomy and Biochemistry are listed at about Rs 1.95 lakh for the first year with only a private-quota figure, while clinical branches are much higher: for example, General Medicine, Paediatrics and OBG at Rs 40.70 lakh (private) and Rs 75.10 lakh (management/NRI) in the first year, and Radiodiagnosis and Dermatology at Rs 55.10 lakh and Rs 95.10 lakh. Fees for the second and third years are slightly lower in each case.
