Odisha NEET PG 2026: Revised Round 1 Seat Matrix (MD/MS) Released; Choice Locking 1–3 November

The Convenor, PG (Medical) Counselling Committee 2026-27 at MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, has released a revised provisional seat matrix for Round 1 of Odisha state-quota MD/MS counselling. The notice is dated 31 October 2026.

The committee explains that after grievances were addressed, a seat matrix was put out on 30 October. A typing error was later found in it; the Scrutinizing Committee corrected it and the PG Medical Counselling Committee approved the change. This revised version replaces the earlier one and is the matrix that will be used in counselling.

The matrix lists subject-wise MD/MS seats with their category (UR, EWS, SC, ST, SEBC, PwD, Green Card and Ex-Serviceman) for both the in-service and direct state quotas across the government medical colleges, along with management-quota seats at Hi-Tech Bhubaneswar, Hi-Tech Rourkela and DRIEMS Cuttack. The committee notes the distribution follows the state's new reservation policy, and any minor discrepancies will be balanced by rotation in later years.

Doctors taking part in Odisha Round 1 should check the revised matrix carefully against their earlier shortlist before locking choices. As per the Round 1 schedule, choice locking runs from 1 to 3 November 2026 (till 11:55 PM). The revised seat matrix is available on the Odisha DMET PG Medical counselling website (dmetodisha.in).
