UP NEET PG 2026: Round 1 Choice Filling Extended to 31 October, 5 PM

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has extended the online choice-filling window for the first round of UP NEET PG 2026 state counselling for MD, MS, Diploma and DNB courses.

Under the original schedule, announced in the department's notifications of 17 October 2026, choice filling was due to close at 5 PM on 30 October 2026. The new notice, issued on 30 October, moves the closing time to 5 PM on 31 October 2026.

The notice reminds candidates that filling choices is not enough on its own: once choices are entered, they must be locked within the deadline. All other rules and conditions of the counselling remain the same as announced earlier.

Doctors taking part in UP state counselling who have not yet completed their choice list should use the extra day to finalise and lock their preferences on the official DGME UP counselling portal before 5 PM on 31 October. The official notice (in Hindi) is available on dgme.up.gov.in.
