Assam NEET PG 2026 Round 1: Registration Extended to 31 October, Result on 5 November
Assam DME has extended state-quota PG Round 1 registration to 31 Oct 2026; choice filling runs 1–2 Nov, result 5 Nov, joining 9–10 Nov.

The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam has extended online registration for the first round of state-quota PG counselling for Session 2026. This covers the 50% state-quota PG seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati. Registration now stays open until 31 October 2026. The state government has also extended the cut-off date for completing rural/remote service under Rule 5(v) of the Assam PG admission rules.
Under the revised timetable, online choice filling runs from 1 November to 2 November 2026 (till 5 PM). Choices can be locked on 2 November between 4 PM and 11:55 PM, and any choices not locked by then are locked automatically. Seat allotment will be processed on 3 and 4 November. The college-wise and subject-wise list of provisionally selected candidates, with admission instructions, comes out on 5 November 2026. Selected candidates must join their allotted institutions between 9 and 10 November 2026.
Candidates who have not yet registered should do so before the new deadline. Check dme.assam.gov.in for further notices.
