UP NEET PG 2026: Round 1 Tentative Seat Matrix for MD/MS/Diploma Released — 3,961 Seats

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has published the tentative seat matrix for Round 1 of UP NEET PG 2026 counselling for MD, MS and Diploma courses.

The matrix lists 3,961 seats across 71 medical colleges. Government colleges contribute 1,095 seats, divided by category (UR, BC, SC, ST, EWS and others, with PH sub-quotas), while the 2,866 private-college seats are all shown under the unreserved column. For each college the matrix gives the course-wise seat count and its category split.

This is a tentative matrix, so seat numbers may still change before the final list. Doctors planning to take part in UP state counselling should check which colleges and courses are offered in their category and use this to plan their choice order. The full seat matrix is on upneet.gov.in.
