Assam NEET PG 2026: Round 1 Registration Extended to 28 October; Result on 2 November

The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam has extended online registration for the first round of state-quota PG medical counselling for session 2026. The round covers 50% Post Graduate seats in the Government Medical Colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati. The notice, dated 26 October 2026, follows the Directorate's earlier notice of 16 October 2026.

Registration now stays open until 28 October 2026 (11.55 PM as per the notice text). Choice filling runs from 29 to 30 October (until 5 PM), and choices can be locked on 30 October between 4 PM and 11.55 PM. Choices not locked by then are locked automatically. Seat allotment will be processed on 31 October and 1 November, and the college-wise and subject-wise provisional selection list, along with the admission modalities, will be displayed on 2 November 2026.

Selected candidates must join their allotted institution between 9 and 10 November 2026.

Doctors who want Assam state-quota PG seats and have not yet registered should do so before the extended deadline, then fill and lock their choices within the window. Check dme.assam.gov.in regularly for further notices.
