UP NEET PG 2026-27: DGME Debars Candidates Who Resigned Seats or Skipped Stray-Round Admission

UP DGME has barred named candidates from UP NEET PG 2026-27 counselling for resigning PG seats after the final round or not joining after a stray-round allotment.

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, issued a notice on 23 October 2026 listing candidates who are barred from taking part in UP NEET PG 2026-27 counselling.

The notice applies two state government orders. Under the first, a candidate who leaves a government or private medical college seat after the final round of counselling, before finishing the course, is debarred from the next admission session. Under the second, a candidate who is allotted a seat in the stray vacancy round but does not take admission forfeits the security deposit and is barred from the following year's UP counselling.

The lists cover MD/MS candidates from the 2024 session who resigned, 2025 candidates who did not join MD/MS or DNB seats allotted in the special stray vacancy round, and 2025 MD/MS candidates who resigned after the final round. All of them are excluded from the 2026-27 process.

Candidates applying in UP this year should note that leaving a seat after the final round, or skipping a stray-round allotment, carries the same penalty. The full list is on dgme.up.gov.in.
