The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a note, dated 6 October 2026, on document verification for candidates seeking seats under the special categories of St. John's Medical College, Bengaluru, in PG Medical 2026 counselling.

The note covers three categories: Category 1 for Roman Catholic Religious Sisters (Nuns) who have completed SJMC-approved two-year rural service at SJMC-approved centres; Category 2 for SJMC alumni with SJMC-approved two-year rural service; and Category 3 for Roman Catholic Christians.

PGET candidates registered with KEA who are eligible for any of these categories must attend in person, with all relevant original documents, at the Medical College Council Room, Ground Floor, St. John's Medical College, Koramangala, Bengaluru, from 14 October to 16 October 2026.

The St. John's PG admission bulletin lists the extra certificates needed for each category, such as a membership certificate from the Superior General or Bishop, a rural service certificate from the Director of SJNAHS, or a baptism certificate and a Bishop's membership certificate in the prescribed format. Candidates should check that these are in the exact format the college requires before travelling. The official note is on the KEA website.
