Himachal PG Medical 2026: AMRU Releases MD/MS/DNB Prospectus; Apply 22–26 October

Atal Medical & Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh, has released the prospectus for state counselling for PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) courses for the 2026-27 session. It is dated 22 October 2026. The counselling covers the 50% State Quota seats in the six government medical colleges (IGMC Shimla, Tanda, Ner Chowk, Nahan, Chamba and Hamirpur) and all seats at MMMC Kumarhatti, Solan, including management and NRI quota.

Online applications with fee payment open on 22 October and close on 26 October 2026, on amruhp.ac.in. The application fee is Rs 3,600 for General/EWS, Rs 2,500 for SC/ST, and nil for PwD candidates. AMRU has not fixed a date for the State Merit List yet; it will be notified later, along with the rest of the counselling schedule. Seat distribution will also be posted separately.

Key points: in-service GDOs get 66.67% and direct candidates 33.33% of State Quota seats, following a six-point roster. DNB seats are only for regular GDOs. Internship must be completed by 30.09.2026. Token money is Rs 39,000 for government colleges and Rs 5 lakh for private college seats. Fresh choices must be locked in every round.

Candidates should read the prospectus in full, keep the listed certificates ready to upload, and submit the form and print the confirmation copy before 26 October.
