I’m Dr. Shivcharan Chavan — a community physician and educator passionate about bridging clinical learning and public health strategy.I earned my MBBS and MD in Community Medicine from KEM Hospital & GS Medical College, Mumbai, and hold a Master’s in Public Health from King’s College London. Currently, I serve as an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Intro to Clinical Medicine at Xavier University School of Medicine, Aruba.Over the last 7+ years, I’ve worn many hats — clinician, course director, medical faculty, and public health consultant. I’ve taught in Caribbean medical universities and served in Indian public hospitals and medical colleges, gaining a unique dual perspective on global medical education systems and the Caribbean MD–USMLE pathway.As a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), London, I regularly contribute to research, simulation-based medical training, and community engagement projects.
