ST6/7 Obstetrics and Gynaecology Registrar | MRCOG | GMC Registered Medical PractitionerI’m Dr. Samuel Martey Osieku, a dual Ghanaian-British trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over a decade of clinical experience spanning West Africa, China, and the UK. I obtained my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Sun Yat-Sen University in China in 2011, and have since built a robust and progressive career within the NHS, currently practicing at the ST6/7 level.My clinical journey in the UK has taken me through a wide range of roles across leading NHS trusts, including Leeds Teaching Hospitals, Airedale General Hospital, Mid Yorkshire, and Calderdale and Huddersfield. These roles have equipped me with comprehensive expertise in both routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological care. I’m also a proud member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy.I bring a global perspective to women’s health, blending strong surgical acumen with cultural sensitivity and multidisciplinary teamwork. My interests lie particularly in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery and Hysteroscopy. As part of my training I am pursuing special interest training modules in Gynaecological Surgical Care and Therapeutic Hysteroscopy. I’ve also held leadership and editorial roles, including serving as Senior Editor for the Calderdale Academia Group and as the Public Relations Officer of the International Students’ Union during my time in China.Outside of clinical work, I’m deeply passionate about teaching, mentorship, and continuous learning.
