Dr. Ritika Tuli

Cardiology

About

Hello, I’m Dr. Ritika Tuli — a PGY-4 Cardiology Fellow at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, and currently an Editorial Fellow with the American College of Cardiology (ACC 2024–2025 cohort). I’m a first-generation international medical graduate from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and have lived, trained, and practiced across India, China, and the United States. These diverse experiences have not only shaped my medical understanding but also deepened my commitment to inclusive, accessible healthcare education. My core clinical interests lie in cardiovascular imaging, cardio-oncology, and healthcare systems leadership. I’ve completed my Internal Medicine Residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, with an additional rotation in Sleep Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where I explored complex sleep-related cardiovascular interactions. I’m also a strong believer in democratizing medical knowledge. That’s why I created #CardioNuggets—a social media initiative that shares daily, high-yield cardiology pearls with over 50,000 learners globally on X (formerly Twitter). My work in medical education has been featured through publications in BMJ Open and the Journal of Intensive Care Medicine. As your mentor, I can help you with: Strategic planning for US residency and cardiology fellowships Building your research profile and preparing for publications Developing strong medical communication skills Career transitions across clinical and non-clinical domains Thriving as a first-gen IMG navigating global health systems If you’re a student, resident, or IMG exploring cardiology, research, or academic medicine — I’d love to share what I’ve learned and help you chart a path with clarity and confidence.
