My name is Balu Solanki, and I completed my MBBS from the Philippines in 2022. I am currently working as a Trainee Internal Medicine Registrar at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand. I have passed several international medical licensing exams, including USMLE Step 1 & 2, PLAB 1, FMGE (India), and NZREX (New Zealand) — all within two years.I have completed clinical clerkships in the Philippines and the United States (Chicago), as well as elective rotations in New Zealand, which have provided me with broad exposure to various healthcare systems. Having gone through various international pathways myself, I understand the challenges faced by medical graduates who wish to practice overseas.
