Dr. Nafiu Ahmed Adamu
About
Hi, I’m Dr. Nafiu Ahmad Adamu. I’m a GMC-registered doctor with a background in internal medicine, women’s health, and public health. I graduated from Ukraine in 2020 and have worked in both hospital and outpatient settings in Nigeria. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in clinical care, team supervision, radiology coordination, and civil service health assessments.I’m currently in the UK on a career break, focusing on professional development. I’m undertaking a clinical attachment at the Royal Free Hospital, completing my ALS course, and building my training portfolio for NHS progression.Having benefited from mentorship myself, I understand how much of a difference it can make. That’s why I’m passionate about supporting fellow international medical graduates through the same process. Whether you’re working toward GMC registration, strengthening your NHS portfolio, or exploring careers in clinical trials or pharmaceuticals, I’m happy to share what I’ve learned.I have a strong interest in helping IMGs understand NHS systems, prepare for postgraduate studies in the UK or Europe, build effective portfolios and CVs, and explore both clinical and non-clinical career options, including research and industry roles. If you’re feeling unsure about your next steps or need guidance from someone who’s recently been through the same journey, I’d be glad to support you.
