Dr. Sushmita patil

I am a GMC-registered doctor, currently pursuing clinical experience in the UK healthcare system through multiple NHS clinical attachments. I completed my MBBS from BLDE University, Shri B.M. Patil Medical College (India) in 2020, followed by junior doctor roles in Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, and Acute Medicine. These experiences equipped me with the skills to manage diverse medical conditions in both acute and outpatient settings.To familiarize myself with the NHS structure, protocols, and clinical responsibilities of junior doctors, I have completed multiple clinical attachments in Acute Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Anesthesia at various NHS Trusts. During these placements, I have developed hands-on experience in clerking, patient management, ward rounds, discharge summaries, and assisting in surgical procedures.Beyond clinical practice, I have actively contributed to medical education and research, with publications, audits, and presentations at international conferences. My teaching experience includes delivering formal and interactive sessions on clinical skills, emergency protocols, and pharmacology for medical students and paramedics. As a mentor, I am committed to guiding International Medical Graduates (IMGs) through their journey in the UK, offering insights on PLAB, NHS clinical roles, and career progression. My goal is to support aspiring doctors in navigating challenges, making informed career decisions, and excelling in their professional paths.
